Warranty policy

effective period is 2 years from date of sale

buyer must provide a photo of the item showing the serial number for order identification purposes

warranty is voided for items that have been mechanically or electrically damaged by improper user handling (i.e. attempted wiring job without an adapter or into an incompatible OBD2 diagnostic port) or modified in any way that differs from the original state (exemption: physical damage occurred during shipping, external power supply mod)

1. option "replacement for nominal fee" / "free replacement"
   
   • buyer is eligible to request a replacement item for nominal fee (9.99 EUR + free shipping) or free replacement (if the scanner was purchased with the premium replacement service) and keep the defective item, which will be flagged as "not working" and deactivated
   • applicable during warranty period only
   • applicable only once
2. option "free repair"
   
   • the item will be repaired and shipped back to buyer for free
   • buyer is required to send the defective item to repair service address (based in Europe) and include CN22 customs declaration, if required, to avoid issues with the receipt on our side
   • buyer pays return shipping (we strongly recommend using a mail service with tracking to avoid issues in a case the shipment got lost in transit)
   • in case the returned item will be in fully working order (will be deemed as false warranty claim), the buyer will be required to pay a re-shipping fee (in accordance to Re-shipping policy) before the item will be shipped back

After-Warranty Repair

if your device (Hondash OBD Bluetooth Scanner) is no longer covered by warranty, you can send it in for a after-warranty repair (hondash.app@gmail.com)

estimated repair cost:

• European Union customers:
  cost EUR = (repair, 10.00) + (shipping, 4.90)
• others:
  cost EUR = (repair, 10.00) + (shipping, 5.30) + (import duties, approx. 5.00)

please keep in mind the customer is responsible for shipping the item to our repair service address (based in Europe), including paying the shipping fees (please inquire to your shipping service provider about the cost)

If your country is not listed above, you must include the CN22 customs declaration. The declaration form can be obtained at your post office (use the provided example to fill out the declaration) and must be included with the shipment (usually as a sticker placed beside the shipping label).
